CHAPTER TEN T-6B PRIMARY INSTRUMENT NAVIGATION<br />

6. Perform the 6Ts.<br />

a. Set 15% Torque, descend at 120 KIAS.<br />

b. No course change is required. On some GPS overlay approaches, a course change<br />

might be required passing the FAWP.<br />

c. Note the 580’ step down fix.<br />

7. 100’ prior to the MDA, slowly add power to arrest the rate of descent.<br />

8. At the MDA (400’), add power to maintain altitude.<br />

9. Fly at the MDA to the MAWP.<br />

10. Upon reaching the MAWP, if the runway is not insight or the aircraft is not in a position to<br />

make a safe landing, execute the Missed Approach.<br />

10-6 GPS APPROACH PROCEDURES<br />

NOTE<br />

The GPS system will NOT automatically sequence to any<br />

waypoints required to execute the Missed Approach procedure.<br />

Automatic sequencing will cease at the MAP. If a Missed<br />

Approach is required, the pilot must manually sequence the system<br />

to the Missed Approach WPT.
