2. ATC requests to “keep the speed until the FAF”.<br />

3. Lapse in situational awareness leading to the aircraft being fast on final with little or no<br />

time to configure the aircraft.<br />

212. STANDARD CALLOUTS<br />

Standard callouts may be pre-briefed or executed in accordance with local Standard Operating<br />

Procedures (SOP). Examples might include the flying pilot or non-flying pilot calling out over<br />

the ICS: 1000’ prior to level-off, 200’ prior to level-off, reaching decision altitude (DA) or<br />

minimum descent altitude (MDA), “CDI or glideslope alive”, and Basic Airwork deviations<br />

outside the Course <strong>Training</strong> Standard (CTS).<br />
