SPECIAL CONDITIONS<br />
1. Application of Special Conditions. These Special Conditions form a part of the Contract Documents for the<br />
Work generally described as: <strong>Bid</strong> <strong>#01</strong>-<strong>1112</strong>, <strong>Library</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Reprographics</strong> <strong>Roofing</strong> Project<br />
2. Drawings <strong>and</strong> Specifications. The number of sets of the Drawings <strong>and</strong> Specifications which the District<br />
will provide to the Contractor, pursuant to Article 2.1.3 of the General Conditions is Five ( 5 ).<br />
Additional sets of the Drawings <strong>and</strong> Specifications may be obtained by the Contractor at the cost of Ten<br />
Dollars ($10.00 ) per set.<br />
3. Insurance.<br />
Contractor's Insurance. Pursuant to Article 6 of the General Conditions, the Contractor shall obtain <strong>and</strong><br />
maintain the following insurance coverages with minimum coverage amounts as set forth below:<br />
1. Workers Compensation Insurance - In accordance with limits established by law.<br />
2. Employers Liability Insurance $1,000,000.00<br />
3. Commercial General Liability Insurance (excluding Automobile Liability)<br />
Per Occurrence $2,000,000.00<br />
Aggregate $5,000,000.00<br />
Products/Completed Operations Aggregate $5,000,000.00<br />
4. Automobile Liability Insurance $1,000,000.00<br />
5. Builders Risk Insurance, In an amount equal to 110% of the original contract price<br />
In accordance with Article 6.3 of the General Conditions, coverage for the perils of earthquakes is<br />
not to be included with the scope of coverage under the Builders Risk Insurance Policy<br />
6. Excess Liability Insurance $5,000,000.00<br />
3.1 Builders Risk Insurance. In accordance with Article 6.3 of the General Conditions coverage shall<br />
be provided for the full insurable value of the Work. Coverage for the perils of earthquakes are not<br />
to be included within the scope of coverage under the Builders Risk Insurance Policy.<br />
3.2 Subcontractor's Insurance. In accordance with Article 6.5 of the General Conditions, each<br />
Subcontractor shall obtain <strong>and</strong> maintain the following insurance coverages in the following<br />
minimum coverage amounts:<br />
1. Workers Compensation Insurance - In accordance with limits established by law.<br />
2. Employers Liability Insurance $1,000,000.00<br />
3. Commercial General Liability Insurance (excluding Automobile Liability)<br />
Per Occurrence $1,000,000.00<br />
Aggregate $2,000,000.00<br />
Products/Completed Operations Aggregate $2,000,000.00<br />
4. Automobile Liability Insurance $1,000,000.00<br />
4. Liquidated Damages; Delayed Submittals. The per diem assessment of Liquidated Damages for<br />
Contractor's delayed submission of Submittals pursuant to Article 4.7.2.1 of the General Conditions is one<br />
thous<strong>and</strong> dollars, ($1000.00) per day.<br />
5. Liquidated Damages; Delayed Substantial Completion. The per diem assessment of Liquidated<br />
Damages for delayed Substantial Completion pursuant to Article 7 of the General Conditions shall be<br />
Twelve Hundred Dollars, ($1,200.00) per day.<br />
