The default setting False, does not forward BPDU packets when STP is disabled.<br />

State This drop-down menu allows you to enable or disable STP for the selected group<br />

of ports. The default is Enabled.<br />

Click Apply to implement changes made.<br />

Forwarding Filtering<br />

Unicast Forwarding<br />

Open the Forwarding Filtering folder in the Configuration menu and click on the Unicast Forwarding<br />

link. This will open the Setup Static Unicast Forwarding Table, as shown below:<br />

To add or edit an entry, define the following parameters and then click Add/Modify:<br />

Parameter Description<br />

VLAN ID (VID) The VLAN ID number of the VLAN on which the above Unicast MAC address<br />

resides.<br />

MAC Address The MAC address to which packets will be statically forwarded. This must be a<br />

unicast MAC address.<br />

Allowed to Go Port Allows the selection of the port number on which the MAC address entered above<br />

resides.<br />

Click Apply to implement the changes made. To delete an entry in the Static Unicast Forwarding<br />

Table, click the corresponding X under the Delete heading.<br />

Static Multicast Forwarding<br />

The following figure and table describe how to set up Multicast Forwarding on the Switch. Open the<br />

Forwarding Filtering folder and click on the Multicast Forwarding link to see the entry screen<br />

below:<br />
