This page allows you to determine which port on a given switch will be allowed to forward packets to<br />

other ports on that switch.<br />

The user may set the following parameters:<br />

Parameter Description<br />

Port Check the corresponding boxes for the port(s) you wish to transmit packets.<br />

Forward Portlist Check the boxes to select which of the ports on the Switch will be able to forward<br />

packets. These ports will be allowed to receive packets from the port specified above.<br />

Clicking the Apply button will enter the combination of transmitting port and allowed receiving ports<br />

into the Switch's Traffic Segmentation Table.<br />

System Severity Alerts<br />

The Switch can be configured to allow alerts be logged or sent as a trap to an SNMP agent or both.<br />

The level at which the alert triggers either a log entry or a trap message can be set as well. Use the<br />

System Severity Settings menu to set the criteria for alerts. The current settings are displayed below<br />

the Settings menu.<br />
