Production Design • 4 CR<br />
Presents a systems approach to the production process.<br />
Topics include design, treatments, storyboards,<br />
publicity, budgets, and scripts; scouting locations<br />
and assembling a crew; compiling and analyzing<br />
audience profiles, impact, and feedback; increasing<br />
audio, video, and post-production values; ethics<br />
and integrity. Prerequisite: Acceptance into Production<br />
Assistant Certificate Program.<br />

Advanced Web Multimedia I • 4 CR<br />
Advances student technical skills to an intermediate<br />
level by incorporating advanced multimedia<br />
objects and functions in web applications. Prerequisite:<br />

Production Practicum II • 4 CR<br />
Provides experience in editing programs and functioning<br />
in crew positions. Students use linear and<br />
non-linear editing systems; function as technical<br />
director, floor director, and assistant producer or<br />
director; organize and operate videoconferences;<br />
and create publicity materials using desktop publishing<br />
software. Prerequisite: Acceptance into Production<br />

Provides experience in advanced-level production<br />
processes. Topics include client interviews; content<br />
development and research; audience and purpose;<br />
timelines and budgets; production book management;<br />
location and studio supervision and direction;<br />
post-production requirements; and program<br />
evaluation. Prerequisite: Acceptance into Production<br />

Allow students to design resumes and portfolios<br />
and develop employment strategies. Students design<br />
production resumes; compile and edit resume<br />
videotapes; create written resumes; practice jobsearch<br />
networking, and conduct job interviews.<br />

Provides experience on multiple production<br />
projects. Students seek out and create projects,<br />
work with producers to develop concepts, oversee<br />
production quality, and evaluate results and audience<br />
