Develops basic language skills in Spanish. The<br />
emphasis is listening and speaking; basic reading<br />
and writing skills are also introduced. Format includes<br />
practice with video and audiocassettes.<br />

GAME 111<br />
Gaming Foundations • 5 CR<br />
Students learn and practice the basic principles of<br />
digital 3D game development. Students learn to<br />
create simple digital 3D games. Topics include<br />
gaming history and genres, game elements, and<br />
principles of gaming production. Prerequisite: ME-<br />
DIA 109 at BCC with a C- or better.<br />

Introduction to Business • 5 CR<br />
Examines the role of business in a modern<br />
economy: growth, structure, organization, and relationship<br />
to the environment. Students investigate<br />
the objectives, functions, and management of<br />
business firms. Other topics include problems of<br />
organization, decision-making, and controls. Fulfills<br />
social science course requirement at BCC for<br />
non-business majors.<br />

Organizational Behavior • 5 CR<br />
Explores the dynamics of human resources in a<br />
business organization. Students develop a positive<br />
attitude toward the human element in business.<br />
Specific topics include motivation, leadership,<br />
group dynamics, organization theory, participatory<br />
management, and communication.<br />

Principles of Real Estate • 5 CR<br />
Entry-level course designed for buyers, sellers, investors,<br />
and preparation for the Washington State<br />
Salesperson’s Exam. Legal titles and instruments,<br />
finance, appraisal, contracts, agency, land economics.<br />
Sixty clock hours. Same as R EST 130. Either<br />
G BUS 130 or R EST 130 may be taken for<br />
credit, not both.<br />

Business Mathematics • 5 CR<br />
Presents practical mathematics for business and<br />
consumer financing. Topics include computing<br />
simple and compound interest, present values, annuities,<br />
and amortization. Note: Calculator recommended.<br />

Entrepreneurship • 5 CR<br />
Deals with organizing and operating a small business.<br />
Topics include development of a business<br />
plan, failure factors in small business, source of<br />
capital, record keeping, financial statements, taxation,<br />
marketing, legal and regulatory issues and<br />
management principles.<br />

Surveys laws applicable to business transactions.<br />
Students focus on law of contract sales, negotiable<br />
