Notes for Track #2:<br />
1. Courses taken under 3 above must come from<br />
the current ICRC distribution list in order to<br />
count as General Education or General Undergraduate<br />
Requirements (GERs/GURs) at<br />
the receiving institution. Additional general<br />
education, cultural diversity, and foreign language<br />
requirements, as required by the transfer<br />
institution, must be met prior to the<br />
completion of a baccalaureate degree.<br />
2. Students should be advised that some baccalaureate<br />
programs require physics with calculus<br />
to meet 4.a.<br />

Associate in Arts in General<br />
Studies (A.A.G.S.)<br />
1. Completion of 90 quarter credit hours, three of<br />
which are recommended to be activity courses<br />
in physical education.<br />
2. At least 60 credits must be taken from courses<br />
numbered 100 or above.<br />
3. At least 30 of the 90 quarter credit hours for the<br />
A.A.G.S. degree must be completed in residence<br />
at BCC.<br />
4. Minimum completion of English 092 or above<br />
AND Math 075 or above to satisfy communication<br />
and quantitative or symbolic reasoning<br />
requirements.<br />
5. Recommended total of 30 credits or a minimum<br />
of 10 credits each in humanities, social<br />
sciences, and natural sciences areas.<br />
6. Although the degree may contain transferable<br />
courses, the transferability of courses remains<br />
the sole prerogative of the institution to which<br />
students are transferring.<br />
Associate in Arts Degree (A.A.)<br />
and Certificates<br />
1. At least 30 of the 90 quarter credit hours for the<br />
A.A. degree MUST be completed in residence at<br />
BCC. At least one-third of the required credits<br />
for a certificate MUST be completed in residence<br />
at BCC.<br />
2. Specific courses may be credited toward no<br />
more than one requirement or skill area.<br />
3. Students must receive approval from program<br />
chairs for course equivalencies or requirements<br />
previously completed.<br />
4. Certain programs have provisions that<br />
coursework completed to satisfy degree or certificate<br />
requirements must be current. Previously-completed<br />
credits may have exceeded the<br />
maximum length of time which can lapse from<br />
time of completion (whether the credits were<br />
completed at BCC or at another institution).<br />
5. The transferability of courses remains the sole<br />
prerogative of the institution to which students<br />
are transferring.<br />
6. Specific course requirements for each degree<br />
and certificate may be altered to reflect the<br />
needs of industry and students or availability<br />
of resources.
