Recreation Leadership<br />

This program prepares graduates for positions<br />

in city and county recreation, medical institutions,<br />

industrial recreation, camping, and various youth<br />

service organizations. Recreational leaders assist in<br />

planning, organizing and leading activities. After<br />

completing their associates’ degree requirements,<br />

students will be prepared for entry into the upperdivision<br />

courses at four-year colleges or universities,<br />

which offer baccalaureate degrees in professional<br />

Translation &<br />

Interpretation<br />

This program is a cooperative effort between<br />

<strong>Bellevue</strong> Community <strong>College</strong> and the Translation<br />

and Interpretation Institute. BCC provides credit<br />

for two certificate programs, one in interpretation<br />

and one in translation. This program is self-supporting.<br />

Permission is required to take courses. Students<br />

may start the program during any quarter of<br />

the year. Please call (425) 564-3171 for further information.<br />

The programs are intended for bilingual people<br />

of diverse educational backgrounds who are interested<br />

in pursuing a career in translation or interpretation.<br />

The primary criterion for admission is<br />

high proficiency in the candidate’s working languages.<br />
