3. Specify files to scan:
• All scannable files—scans all files, except password-protected or encrypted
files
• IntelliScan: uses true file type identification—IntelliScan examines the
header of every file but, based on certain indicators, selects only files that it
determines are susceptible to virus scanning. Scans files by an intelligent
combination of true file type scanning and exact extension name filtering.
• Specified file extensions...—Manually specify the files to scan based on
their extensions by clicking Specified file extensions... and then clicking the
link. A Scan Specified Files by Extension window appears.

• Type the file extensions you wish to scan for in the File extensions to scan
field, separated by a semicolon.
• Click Add.
• Click OK.
4. Back in the main Target screen, select files to exclude from scanning based on
different criteria:
• Extracted file count exceeds
• Extracted file size exceeds
• Number of layers of compression exceeds
