3. Set any of the following message filters:
• Filter by Message Size: The Trend Micro recommended size is 5 MB.
Larger file sizes can reduce the appliance throughput. If message exceeds
size it will not be scanned.
• Filter by Text in Message Header:
i. Enter one or more words for InterScan Gateway Security Appliance to
check for when scanning content of the message header, including the
From, To, and CC fields.
ii. Click Add.
iii. [Optional] if match case is selected, only items that match the case
entered in the list will be identified.
• Filter by Text in Body:
i. Enter one or more words for InterScan Gateway Security Appliance to
check for when scanning content in the body of email.
ii. Click Add.
iii. [Optional] If you select match case, only items that match the case
entered in the list will be identified.
• Filter by Message Attachment Name - Filter attachments by file name:
i. Type one or more words for InterScan Gateway Security Appliance to
check for when scanning attachment names.
ii. Click Add.
• Filter by Attachment True File Type - InterScan Gateway Security
Appliance can filter email attachments by type. To have InterScan Gateway
Security Appliance filter messages based on attachment type, select one or
more of the items in the Attachment True File Type dialog box.
4. Click Save.
