Trend Micro InterScan Gateway Security Appliance M-Series Administrator’s Guide B-22 Access Directory Manager Use Directory Manager to group InterScan Gateway Security Appliances together. To access the Directory Manager: 1. Access Product Directory. 2. On the left-hand menu, click Directory Manager. Create Folders Group InterScan Gateway Security Appliances into different folders to suit your organization's Control Manager network administration model. To create a folder: 1. Access the Directory Manager. 2. On the working area, right-click where you want to create a new folder. If you are building the tree for the first time, right-click the Root folder. 3. Select New folder from the pop-up menu. Control Manager creates a new sub-folder under the main folder. 4. Type a name for the new folder or use the default name and then press Enter. 5. Click Save. Except for the New entity folder, Control Manager lists all other folders in ascending order, starting from special characters (!, #, $, %, (, ), *, +, -, comma, period, +, ?, @, [, ], ^, _, {, |, }, and ~), numbers (0 to 9), or alphabet characters (a/A to z/Z). Renaming Folders or InterScan Gateway Security Appliances To rename a folder or InterScan Gateway Security Appliance: 1. Access Directory Manager. 2. On the working area, right-click the folder or InterScan Gateway Security Appliance you want to rename and then select Rename from the pop-up menu. The folder/InterScan Gateway Security Appliance name becomes an editable field. 3. Type a name for the new folder or use the default name and then press Enter. 4. Click Save.
Introducing Trend Micro Control Manager Note: Renaming an InterScan Gateway Security Appliance only changes the name stored in the Control Manager database there are no effects to the product. Move Folders or InterScan Gateway Security Appliances To transfer or move a folder or InterScan Gateway Security Appliance to another location: 1. Access Directory Manager. 2. On the working area, select the folder or InterScan Gateway Security Appliance you want to move. 3. Do one of the following: • Drag-and-drop the folder or InterScan Gateway Security Appliance to the target new location • Cut and paste the folder or InterScan Gateway Security Appliance to the target new location 4. Click Save. Delete User-Defined Folders Take caution when deleting user-defined folders in the Directory Manager, you may accidentally delete an InterScan Gateway Security Appliance which causes it to unregister from the Control Manager server. To delete a user-defined folder: 1. Access the Directory Manager. 2. On the working area, right-click the folder you want to delete and then select Delete from the pop-up menu. 3. Click Save. Note: You cannot delete the New entity folder. Use caution when deleting user-defined folders, you may accidentally delete an InterScan Gateway Security Appliance. B-23
