To configure HTTP – URL Filtering Rules:
HTTP Services
1. From the left-side menu, click HTTP > URL Filtering. The Filtering Rules tab
appears.
2. Select the Enable URL Filtering check box.
3. Select filtering based on pre-defined categories and times.
• Filter During Work Time – Check All or specific categories
• Filter During Leisure Time – Check All or specific categories
4. Configure the Blocked URL List:
• Type one or more URLs in the Enter Blocked URL field.
• Select a type from the drop-down menu.
• Web site
• URL keyword
• String
• Click Add.
5. Configure the Approved URL List:
• Type one or more URLs in the Enter Approved URL field.
• Select a type from the drop-down menu.
• Web site
• URL keyword
• String
• Click Add.
6. Click Save.
HTTP URL Filtering - Approved Clients List
Your organization may want to reserve one or more IP addresses for completely unfiltered
access to the Internet. You can exempt one or more IP addresses from URL filtering.
You can create another URL filtering rule on top of the existing Global URL
policy. Using this rule, you can exclude an IP address from scanning by placing it in
an Approved Clients (exception) list.
The appliance does not filter HTTP requests from any IP address in the Approved
Clients list.
