<strong>The</strong>re is also an understand<strong>in</strong>g that no matter where dest<strong>in</strong>ations are <strong>in</strong> the niche tourism life cycle, as a result <strong>of</strong> multiple<br />
stakeholder <strong>in</strong>volvement; composite, complex products and <strong>of</strong>ten little management control, they all face a number <strong>of</strong> challenges.<br />
<strong>Niche</strong> tourism products <strong>of</strong>fer dest<strong>in</strong>ations the opportunity to differentiate themselves from their competitors, attract<strong>in</strong>g high yield, low<br />
impact tourists. <strong>The</strong> promotion, through the work presented here, <strong>of</strong> a cross cultural perspective <strong>of</strong> niche tourism will aid a greater<br />
depth <strong>of</strong> understand<strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong> this concept. F<strong>in</strong>ally, the practical and political benefits <strong>of</strong> this work to <strong>in</strong>dustry <strong>in</strong>clude a greater<br />
understand<strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong> niche tourist behaviour to better aid them <strong>in</strong> position<strong>in</strong>g and target<strong>in</strong>g their products. This will ultimately <strong>in</strong>fluence<br />
future purchase decisions. It <strong>of</strong>fers the tourism <strong>in</strong>dustry and DMOs <strong>in</strong>sights <strong>in</strong>to how to creatively and <strong>in</strong>novatively market, promote<br />
and reposition their dest<strong>in</strong>ation and product <strong>of</strong>fer<strong>in</strong>gs, to attract this key market, <strong>in</strong> a time <strong>of</strong> immense competition for tourist<br />
revenue.
