Curricula Vitae<br />

Piet van der Putten was born on April 10, 1948 in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. He<br />

received his degree in Electrical Engineering from the IHBO at Eindhoven in June 1971.<br />

He continued to study at the Eindhoven University <strong>of</strong> Technology. He performed<br />

military service from May 1972 till September 1973.<br />

In February 1974 he was appointed research employee at the faculty <strong>of</strong> Electrical Engineering<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Eindhoven University <strong>of</strong> Technology in the section <strong>of</strong> Digital <strong>Systems</strong>.<br />

He received his K1 diploma in July 1976. He participated in projects in the areas <strong>of</strong> microprocessors,<br />

multiprogramming, computer aided design, computer design, networks,<br />

integrated system design, programmable logic and structured analysis. As teacher and<br />

author he was involved in various projects for post-academic education <strong>of</strong> engineers in<br />

industry and education on integrated circuit design and system specification.<br />

In March 1993 he received the Registered Technological Designer degree from the Institute<br />

for Continuing Education in Information and Communication Technology at the<br />

Eindhoven University <strong>of</strong> Technology. The thesis concerned the multidisciplinary specification<br />

<strong>of</strong> complex digital systems. Since March 1993 he has been assistant pr<strong>of</strong>essor in<br />

the section <strong>of</strong> Information and Communication <strong>Systems</strong> <strong>of</strong> the Eindhoven University <strong>of</strong><br />

Technology. Since March 1994 he has performed a joint Ph.D. project on the specification<br />

<strong>of</strong> reactive hardware/s<strong>of</strong>tware systems.<br />

Jeroen Voeten was born on April 6, 1968 in Tilburg, The Netherlands. He attended the<br />

Blariacum College in Blerick from 1980 to 1986.<br />

At September 1986 he started to study Technical Computing Science at the Eindhoven<br />

University <strong>of</strong> Technology. He performed his graduation research in the area <strong>of</strong> information<br />

systems, at the research and development department <strong>of</strong> Océ-Nederland B.V.<br />

At June 1991 he received his master’s degree in Technical Computing Science from the<br />

faculty <strong>of</strong> Mathematics and Computing Science. From January 1992 he worked towards<br />

his Ph.D. on the specification <strong>of</strong> reactive hardware/s<strong>of</strong>tware systems, at the section <strong>of</strong><br />

Information and Communication <strong>Systems</strong>, under supervision <strong>of</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>. ir. M.P.J. Stevens.<br />

He started to join his work with the work <strong>of</strong> Piet van der Putten in March 1994.<br />

As from January 1997 he has been appointed assistant pr<strong>of</strong>essor in the section <strong>of</strong> Information<br />

and Communication <strong>Systems</strong>.<br />
