early consultation by the a<strong>for</strong>ementioned persons and<br />
through advertisements in Sydsvenska Dagbladet and<br />
the magazine YrkesÞ skaren.<br />
The Defence Forces were contacted in November<br />
2002 by telephone and, on a preliminary basis, there<br />
were no objections to the wind farm from their side.<br />
A consultation report was sent to the Skåne County<br />
Council in May 2003 and in June, the company was<br />
in<strong>for</strong>med that the wind farm would cause major <strong>environmental</strong><br />
<strong>impact</strong> (Appendix 3.2).<br />
4.2 Extended consultation<br />
From November 2003 to November 2004 the extended<br />
consultation process was carried out (Appendix 3.2).<br />
The consultation in<strong>for</strong>mation packs, inclusive of Attachments,<br />
were sent to 60 different parties.<br />
Consultation meetings were held with 17 parties<br />
and the remaining 43 were invited to send written<br />
comments and viewpoints to the company. 30 of those<br />
choose to participate in the written consultation process.<br />

Consultation meetings were furthermore held with the<br />
general public in the communities of Vellinge, Skurup<br />
and Trelleborg, who were in<strong>for</strong>med about the meetings<br />
well in advance through several advertisements<br />
in different newspapers. In<strong>for</strong>mation material was<br />
made available in public places such as libraries and<br />
town halls. Summary in<strong>for</strong>mation was also available<br />
in printed <strong>for</strong>m in an in<strong>for</strong>mation brochure. There was<br />
low interest level shown by the general public.<br />
The commercial Þ shermen were in<strong>for</strong>med about the<br />
consultation through specially designed advertisements<br />
in different newspapers, including the magazine Yrkes-<br />
Þ skaren. In addition, the in<strong>for</strong>mation was also sent<br />
to the two individuals that represent Þ shermen in the<br />
<strong>Kriegers</strong> Flak area, namely Mr. Nils Rinander (lawyer)<br />
and Mr. Lennart Kindblom (technical adviser).<br />
During the autumn of 2004, additional consultation<br />
material was sent to the parties. <strong>This</strong> was done in<br />
co-operation with the Skåne County Council following<br />
the advice given by the Council to the company in this<br />
