11.1 Geotechnology & geology<br />
The sediments in the selected area was, on behalf of<br />
the Group, studied by Weigt during the autumn of<br />
2003, with multidirectional echo sounding, side scanning<br />
sonar and reß ected seismic methods. Wiegt has<br />
also researched the geological structure of the sediments<br />
south east of <strong>Kriegers</strong> Flak (German territory)<br />
with sonar reß ected seismic methods. <strong>This</strong> was carried<br />
out during spring 2002 and autumn 2003.<br />

shore, Marin Mätteknik carried out an additional study<br />
between the transectional areas previously studied by<br />
Weigt. These examinations were also carried out with<br />

and seismic reß ection methods.<br />
In addition, SGI has, on behalf of the Company,<br />
made a geological compilation of ofÞ cially available<br />
research work in the area.<br />
