Checking <strong>Module</strong> Alarms using the ICIM<br />

To Check Alarms using ICIM<br />

If the red ALARM LED on the front panel is blinking, a minor alarm condition is<br />

indicated. If the ALARM LED on the front panel is illuminated, a critical alarm<br />

conditions is indicated.<br />

Alarms fall into one of the following categories.<br />

Major low<br />

Minor low<br />

Minor high<br />

Major high<br />

1 From the MAIN menu, press the<br />

2 Press the<br />

SEL<br />

key to highlight the Shelf <strong>and</strong> Slot fields.<br />

key to address the Shelf number. Then press the<br />

keys to scroll to the number of the desired shelf.<br />

3 Press the ENTER key.<br />

Result: The Slot field is highlighted.<br />

5 Press the ENTER key.<br />

Result: The MODULE menu displays on the ICIM.<br />

6 Press the ALRM key.<br />

Result: <strong>Module</strong> alarm conditions display.<br />

key to Scroll to the number of the desired slot.<br />

7 Use the key or the key to scroll through alarm conditions until the<br />

desired alarm is displayed.<br />

8 Monitor the alarm condition(s). Take appropriate action. Verify that all settings<br />

<strong>and</strong> thresholds relating to the alarm indication are set correctly to rule out an<br />

unintended alarm.<br />

9 When finished, press the MAIN key to return to the MAIN menu.<br />
