MCILLHATTON steps into a phone box, dials. A voice answers.<br />

VOICE (O.S.)<br />

MCILLHATTON<br />

Wolfe Tone.<br />

Hold on.<br />

VOICE (O.S.)<br />

MCILLHATTON glances over his shoulder.<br />

GERRY MCVEIGH (O.S.)<br />

What is it?<br />

MCILLHATTON<br />

I’ve got what we need. I’ll take<br />

it to the man.<br />

The call is cut. EDDIE MCILLHATTON, a little put out,<br />

replaces the receiver. He steps out of the phone box,<br />

scopes the street.<br />

This is a lonely calling.<br />

INT. RYAN’S APARTMENT - THE DEAD OF NIGHT<br />

RYAN is checking the post. He punches the replay button on<br />

his telephone answering machine.<br />

RYAN’S MOTHER (O.S)<br />

David, it’s Mum here. Do give us<br />

a call. Simon and I are very<br />

worried about you. I know your<br />

work is important, but...Sarah<br />

dropped by at the weekend. I<br />

understand that you’ve moved on<br />

love, but...<br />

RYAN kills the message.
