57. Bullets pepper the rear - the van now rocks from the impact. Collette! PADDY (CONT’D) She jumps out and dives onto Paddy’s lap... INT. VAN - CONTINUOUS. COLLETTE’S P.O.V. as they speed down to a junction. The van swings left, smashes into a line of parked cars... EXT. STREET - CONTINUOUS. Snap-cuts as... The van tears away -- pedestrians scatter in panic -- Land Rovers pour down narrow side streets. A police helicopter SWOOPS LOW. INT. HELICOPTER - CONTINUOUS. Shot of the pilot’s monitor. PILOT (into microphone) North on Holywood. EXT. STREET - CONTINUOUS. Quick cuts again as... RYAN and ALLEN join the pursuit in a battered saloon car. The VAN jumps a red light, hits another car side on and careers onto a pavement... INT. VAN - CONTINUOUS. Left! PADDY COLLETTE’S P.O.V. as the driver guns down a straight. He hits the rear end of another car and spins. He rights himself, accelerates. A cop Land Rover pulls out of a street in front and the van slams right into it. SMASH CUT TO:
58. EXT. STREET - CONTINUOUS. It almost turns over and screeches along a line of cars, out of control. SMASH CUT AGAIN TO: INT. VAN - CONTINUOUS. COLLETTE’S P.O.V. as the van is brought to a shattering halt by a tree. EXT. STREET - CONTINUOUS. They stagger out. PADDY crouches down and fires off a burst of ammunition towards the pursuing Land Rovers. PADDY Get out of here! COLLETTE’s P.O.V. as she limps down a side street. She’s out of breath. She turns into a drive, opens a gate... EXT. GARDEN - CONTINUOUS. COLLETTE slips across a lawn, tips over the fence at the back to... EXT. ALLEY - CONTINUOUS. ...where she rips off her balaclava and drops it in a hedge. She walks down the alley and swings left. EXT. STREET - CONTINUOUS The sun is shining. COLLETTE attempts a smile for an old lady walking her dog. A car comes around the corner fast. The old woman turns in alarm. COLLETTE looks as if she is about to run, but, as it screeches to a halt, RYAN steps out. Get in. RYAN
