INT. BELFAST’S ROYAL VICTORIA HOSPITAL - RECEPTION DESK -
MINUTES LATER.
COLLETTE
Seamus...Declan, Declan Walshe.
RECEPTIONIST
You don’t sound like a relative,
Miss...
Murray.
COLLETTE
INT. HOSPITAL CORRIDOR.
Cops everywhere. COLLETTE ducks into a room, shuts the
door, leans against a wall in darkness.
There’s a commotion outside. Through a small window in the
door, she sees the cops SWEEP PAST.
She steps into the corridor, walks past an abandoned
reception desk. Declan Walshe is on his own, on a life
support machine. It’s dark, there’s no one else around...
She moves closer. She’s about to switch it off when she
realises...
He’s dead.
She checks his pulse.
She just makes it back to the room along the corridor
before she is VIOLENTLY SICK.
INT. BELFAST POLICE HEADQUARTERS - TREVOR LONG’S OFFICE -
NIGHT
Rain hammers the window. LONG is behind his desk. He looks
in a whole lot better mood. RYAN and ALLEN are seated
opposite.
Dead.
LONG
RYAN
She seemed pretty certain that--
LONG
He’s gone. We’ve just had word.
LONG glances over their shoulders at the main office
beyond. He has spotted someone through the internal window.
He stands.
