95. RYAN (CONT'D) With your mother. Anywhere you want to go. As soon as it’s done. But you just need to hold on... She shakes her head. COLLETTE Where would I go? RYAN Anywhere you want. COLLETTE This is my home. RYAN Collette, there’s a better life out there. Away from this. He takes hold of her arm. She stares at him. RYAN (CONT’D) Believe me. Seismic tension now. She wants to believe him. My God, this minute, she wants it more than anything in the world... He still has a hold of her wrist. She drifts closer, her face only inches from his. Through the windscreen, we can see COLLETTE walking away up the road.
96. ALLEN What in the hell are you doing? No answer. ALLEN accelerates away past COLLETTE. She does not raise her head. ALLEN (CONT’D) I sure hope you’re not as stupid as you look. INT. COLLETTE’S HOME - AN HOUR LATER. COLLETTE is in the hall. She takes off her coat, unwinds her scarf, closes her eyes and leans against the wall. She hears voices. The door to the yard must be open. GERRY and PADDY sit on the steps with their backs to her. MA is at a garden table playing with CATHERINE. COLLETTE approaches, then checks herself. They are having an argument. GERRY I don’t want Sandy to do it, I want you to. PADDY What difference does it make? GERRY It’s a big shipment and we need to make sure it comes in okay. PADDY (sighs) When? GERRY Tomorrow, before dawn. Where? PADDY GERRY The safe house in Hugo Street. You’ll need to split it up quick.
