Annual Performance Plan 2013/14
The Special Schools sub-programme reflects an increase of 23.1 per cent in line with the department’s drive to improve access to education by learners with special needs through the provision of
appropriate infrastructure.
Goods and Services increases by 87.1 per cent in 2013/14 to provide for infrastructure repairs and maintenance. The budget allocated under Compensation of Employees is related to the capacitation
of the infrastructure unit by R10 million from the Education Infrastructure grant. Payments for Capital Assets increase by 28.7 per cent due to the increase in the conditional grant for the accelerated
infrastructure delivery programme.
