ACT 241 Paint Defects – Causes and<br />
Cures<br />
3 Credits<br />
This course covers paint defects, with emphasis<br />
on the causes of paint defects and how to<br />
cure problems during and after refinishing<br />
procedures, proper surface preparation and<br />
equipment for paint film thickness and proper<br />
temperatures for refinishing.<br />
ACT 242 Surface Preparation II<br />
2 Credits<br />
This course emphasizes surface preparation<br />
for refinishing, including cleaning, sanding,<br />
feather edging, chemical treatment of bare<br />
metals and priming. The application of<br />
primers, including why and where to use<br />
them, will be covered.<br />
ACT 243 Refinishing II<br />
2 Credits<br />
This advanced course teaches the necessary<br />
skills to tint and blend panels working with<br />
the latest finishes and paints. Special coatings<br />
and procedures will be covered in this course.<br />
ACT 244 Final Detail<br />
2 Credits<br />
The participant will learn about detailing in<br />
vehicle paint refinishing. Transfers and tapes<br />
will be included.<br />

ACT 266 Restraint Systems<br />

Participants will inspect, remove and replace<br />
active restraint systems, passive restraint systems<br />
and supplemental restraint systems,<br />
along with disarming, diagnosing using electronic<br />
equipment and trouble codes.<br />
Instruction for passive restraint replacement is<br />
