CHP 264 Documentation Skills in<br />
Home Health Nursing<br />

This course is designed to assist nurses to<br />
develop problem lists, nursing care plans,<br />
document history and physical exams, write a<br />
plan of treatment, work with diagnostic codes,<br />
develop visit parameters and follow Medicare<br />
and JCAHO guidelines for determining eligibility<br />
and skilled services.<br />
CHP 266 Physical Assessment in<br />
Home Health<br />

Prerequisite:Medical Professional<br />
Participants will learn how to obtain a complete<br />
health history which is integrated with a<br />
physical exam specific to the home setting.<br />
The assessment skills of inspection, palpation,<br />
percussion and auscultation are practiced in<br />
the course. Proper use of equipment such as<br />
the otoscope, tuning fork, ophthalmoscope<br />
and reflex hammer is included.<br />
CHP 271 HEP/HIV Update<br />

This course covers the etiology, epidemiology<br />
and treatment modalities of Acquired Immune<br />
Deficiency Syndrome. The psychosocial<br />
issues affecting the individual with HIV or<br />
AIDS and issues concerning the caregiver are<br />

This symposium explores managed care and<br />
Medicare as we move toward the millennium.<br />
The world of managed care, from the client to<br />

health nurse. The course evaluates your current<br />
skill level and transforms practice patterns,<br />
including case management and assessment,<br />
to benefit identified managed care<br />
needs. This course is for current home health<br />
