Automotive Technology<br />
(In cooperation with and taught at Warren Tech)<br />
Degree: Associate of Applied Science<br />
Certificates: Awarded upon completion of<br />
at least one NATEF specialty area and at<br />
least 60 AUM credits<br />
Master Technician: Completion of all eight<br />
NATEF areas<br />
This program is a nationally certified automotive repair program<br />
(NATEF) providing you with entry level skills in the automotive industry<br />
or upgrading for those currently in the field. This is an open-entry program<br />
where students may begin at several designated starting times<br />
during the year. Therefore, you may complete some of the courses,<br />
enter the work force, then return to completerequirements for the AAS<br />
degree, certificates, or to upgrade specific skills. Demonstrated mastery<br />
of skills is required. All automotive (AUM) courses are held at<br />
the Warren Tech Auto Shop. The instructors are ASE Certified Master<br />
Technicians.<br />
You should consult with an automotive technology advisor before<br />
beginning any program of study.<br />
Degree:Associate of Applied Science<br />
The Associate of Applied Science degree (60—66 credits),requires a<br />
minimum of 15 credits of academic general education courses and a<br />
minimum of 45 credits from five of the eight NATEF specialty areas<br />
listed. The AUM courses offered in the NATEF specialty areas must<br />
be completed as groups to satisfy requirements.<br />

Take a minimum of 9 credits from any two of the following three<br />
