This course traces the history and cultural<br />
heritage of Mexico and the people who populate<br />
the southwest part of the United<br />
States.The course studies the ancient cultures<br />
before the arrival of the Europeans and how<br />
these people changed their lifestyles with the<br />
coming of the Spaniards and other cultures<br />
from other parts of the world.Topics include<br />
legends, myths, the Aztec calendar, folk medicine,<br />
folk art, folk music, ballads, food, riddles,<br />
