The <strong>Red</strong> <strong>Rocks</strong> Training Institute<br />
The <strong>Red</strong> <strong>Rocks</strong> Training Institute (RRTI) is<br />
a division of <strong>Red</strong> <strong>Rocks</strong> <strong>Community</strong><br />
<strong>College</strong> that specializes in training and consulting<br />
to businesses and organizations in<br />
the public and private sector. Training and<br />
consulting is customized and individualized<br />
to meet the needs of each client.<br />
In addition to customized training, RRTI<br />
offers open enrollment courses that include:<br />

Spanish, International Finance, E-<br />
Marketing/E-Commerce, Gaming Courses,<br />

Rocky Mountain<br />
Education Center<br />
(RMEC)<br />
The Rocky Mountain Education Center is<br />
located on the main campus of <strong>Red</strong><strong>Rocks</strong><br />
<strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> and is comprised of the<br />
OSHA Training Institute, the <strong>Red</strong> <strong>Rocks</strong><br />
Training Institute, the Colorado<br />
Environmental Training Center and the<br />
Mine Safety and Health Training Center.<br />
The OSHA Training Institute<br />
The OSHA Training Institute was established<br />
in 1992. The U.S. Department of<br />
Labor selected <strong>Red</strong> <strong>Rocks</strong> in cooperation<br />
with Trinidad State Junior <strong>College</strong> as one of<br />
its first four satellite training centers. The<br />
OSHA Training Institute-RMEC has trained<br />
students from all 50 states, as well as Puerto<br />
Rico, Canada, Europe and Saudi Arabia.<br />

<strong>Red</strong><strong>Rocks</strong> Small Business Development<br />
Center<br />
The <strong>Red</strong> <strong>Rocks</strong> Small Business<br />
Development Center (SBDC) provides<br />
counseling, training, and information on<br />
research assistance to small businesses in all<br />
stages of development. The SBDC is sponsored<br />
jointly by the college and U.S. Small<br />
Business Administration.<br />

The Colorado Environmental Training<br />
Center<br />
The Colorado Environmental Training<br />
Center has been in existence for more than<br />
10 years, and prior to joining the RMEC,<br />
has trained more than 6,000 students. The<br />
Colorado Environmental Center offers a<br />
diverse selection of courses including entry<br />
level, certification upgrades and renewels<br />
for supervisors and managers.<br />

Mine Safety Training Center<br />
The latest addition to RMEC is the Mine<br />
Safety Training Center. RMEC received<br />
approval from the Mine Safety and Health<br />
Administration (MSHA) in January 1997 to<br />
offer both underground and surface mining<br />
courses.<br />
