CWB 163 Fireworks<br />

Knowledge<br />

This course provides is designed to teach the<br />

student how complete bitmap editing, select,<br />

group, and stacking. The student will also<br />

learn how to work with text, fills, Live<br />

Effects, colors, styles, exporting/optimizing,<br />

and animated GIF images. Other topics that<br />

will be addressed are the creation of buttons,<br />

how to work with image maps/rollovers, production<br />

techniques, and advanced techniques.<br />

CWB 167 Illustrator<br />

Prerequisite: CWB 110 or Permission of<br />

Instructor or Equivalent Knowledge<br />

This course is designed to teach the student<br />

how to create basic shapes, paint and draw in<br />

Illustrator. This course also includes topics on,<br />

working with brushes, objects, type, layers<br />

and blending shapes and colors. The student<br />

will also have the opportunity to explore the<br />

<strong>options</strong> for printing artwork and producing<br />

color separations.<br />

CWB 175 Complete Web Authoring:<br />

Prerequisites: CIS 118, CWB 100, and a<br />

working knowledge of Windows<br />

This course explores the complete set of Web<br />

authoring skills using HTML and/or other<br />

scripting languages. Topics include links,<br />

backgrounds, controlling text and graphic<br />

placement, tables, image maps, frames, and<br />

forms.<br />

CWB 180 DHTML<br />

4 Credits<br />

Co-requisite: Computer Lab<br />

Prerequisites: CWB 175<br />

This course is designed to introduce the student<br />

to DHTML basics. Some of the topics<br />

included are: an introduction to style sheets,<br />

cascading style sheets, layers and styles, and<br />

working with layers and JavaScript.<br />

CWB 181 XML<br />

3 Credits<br />

Co-requisite: Computer Lab<br />

Prerequisites: CWB 175 and one programming<br />

language or Permission of Instructor or<br />

Equivalent Knowledge.<br />

This course is designed to create a wellformed<br />

XML document, understand how<br />

DTDs impose structure, and how Style Sheets<br />

transform an XML document. Among the<br />

many topics that will be discussed are processing<br />

XML with application code, working<br />

with the DOM, recognizing common industry<br />

parsers, and the integration of XML into an<br />

infrastructure.<br />

CWB 205 Complete Web Scripting:<br />

programming language or permission of<br />

instructor<br />

This course explores the complete set of Web<br />

animation tools. Topics include creating an<br />

.swf file, publishing the file with interactivity<br />

and animation, create .swf files encompassing<br />

navigation, animation, event sound, streaming<br />

sound, behavior actions, getting a movie clip,<br />

tell targets, preloaded sequences, high-end<br />

scripting, the incorporation of Flash and<br />

Director, and a high-end project.<br />

CWB 210 CGI and Perl<br />

3 Credits<br />

Co-requisite: Computer Lab<br />

Prerequisite: CSC 160, or equivalent experience,<br />

or permission of instructor.<br />

This course covers CGI and Perl programming.<br />

Topics include foundations of CGI,<br />

database integration, building CGI programs,<br />

processing HTML forms, and Perl programming.<br />

A basic understanding of UNIX is<br />

required, including directories, files, permissions,<br />

and text editing. A brief review of<br />

UNIX is covered.<br />

CWB 245 Web Animation,<br />

Prerequisites:CIS 115, CWB 175 and one<br />

programming language or permission of<br />

This course explores the complete set of Web<br />

scripting tools. Topics include a review of<br />

HTML tags, JavaScript versus VBScript, variables,<br />

literals, expressions, conditionals, functions,<br />

objects, properties, methods, events,<br />

arrays, extracting the system date, creating<br />

and reading cookies, creating an array, displaying<br />

data based on a cookie value, object,<br />

writing HTML to another window, determining<br />

the browser and detecting keystrokes.<br />

This course is the equivalent of CWB 200,<br />

201, and 202 taken separately.<br />

CWB 262 Cold Fusion<br />

3 Credits<br />

Corequisite: Computer Lab<br />

Prerequisites:Experience with an HTMLeditor<br />

or HTML, and a database course or<br />

Permission of Instructor or Equivalent<br />

Knowledge<br />

This course is designed to teach the student a<br />

basic overview of ColdFusion, URL<br />

Parameters, Strings, and other data types. The<br />

student will also have the opportunity on control<br />

in ColdFusion, form handling, databases<br />

and sQL. Other topics include data retrieval,<br />

application framework, reusing code and<br />

building a complete Web application.<br />

Dreamweaver UltraDev<br />

Prerequisites:CWB 135 or Permission of<br />

Instructor or Equivalent Knowledge<br />

This course is designed to teach the student<br />

the basics of UltraDev, client/server concepts<br />

and objects. The student will also have the<br />

opportunity to amend and search a database,<br />

work with user logins and registrations, as<br />

well as, creating and adding functionality to a<br />

shopping cart. Server behaviors and stored<br />

procedures are also covered in this course.<br />

This course introduces students to the basic<br />

elements of modern dance and to the potential<br />

of dance and stage movement as a means of<br />

communication.<br />

DAN 271 Dance for Musical Theatre<br />

This course introduces students to dance<br />

within the context of musical theatre. Students<br />

practice nonverbal communication and<br />
