5.8.2 Operate does not start up<br />

Overview<br />

• Check if the Oracle service is up and runn<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> W<strong>in</strong>dows services.<br />

• If Operate does not start, it is possible the service was configured with a different network configuration<br />

(e.g. configured on doma<strong>in</strong> and deployed on a workgroup).<br />

• Try Database configuration Assistant to re-configure the Oracle service.<br />

5.8.3 Display creation fails<br />

Overview<br />

• Check if XMLblaster is runn<strong>in</strong>g as a service <strong>in</strong> w<strong>in</strong>dows services. Check XMLblaster logs.<br />

• Check the Operate logs.<br />

• Check the Player logs. If a command is logged, communication to player is work<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

• Check if the player is configured correctly (XMLblaster server should be the Operate hostname or IP<br />

address).<br />
