Creat<strong>in</strong>g a "Normal <strong>mode</strong>" <strong>audio</strong> <strong>file</strong> on a disk formatted <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> Tape <strong>mode</strong><br />
You cannot create ano<strong>the</strong>r "Tape <strong>mode</strong>" <strong>audio</strong> <strong>file</strong> on a disk formatted <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> Tape <strong>mode</strong>, however, you<br />
can create "Normal <strong>mode</strong>" <strong>audio</strong> <strong>file</strong>s on <strong>the</strong> same disk.<br />
1. While a "Tape <strong>mode</strong>" <strong>audio</strong> <strong>file</strong> is selected, press <strong>the</strong> [FILE SEL] key.<br />
The current "Tape <strong>mode</strong>" <strong>file</strong> number "02" flashes.<br />
2. Rotate <strong>the</strong> [JOG] dial to show "New File?" with <strong>the</strong> flash<strong>in</strong>g <strong>file</strong> number.<br />
Depend<strong>in</strong>g on whe<strong>the</strong>r you change <strong>the</strong> [AUDIO FILE] switch sett<strong>in</strong>g or not before press<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> [FILE<br />
SEL] key, <strong>the</strong> <strong>file</strong> number shown is different.<br />
The follow<strong>in</strong>g assumes that <strong>the</strong> current "Tape <strong>mode</strong>" <strong>file</strong> is "BWF".<br />
• When <strong>the</strong> [AUDIO FILE] switch is not changed (set to "BWF"):<br />
"03" is shown, because a new "Normal <strong>mode</strong>" <strong>file</strong> is <strong>the</strong> third "BWF" <strong>file</strong> on <strong>the</strong> disk.<br />

• When <strong>the</strong> [AUDIO FILE] switch is changed (set to "SDII"):<br />
"01" is shown, because a new "Normal <strong>mode</strong>" <strong>file</strong> is <strong>the</strong> first "SDII" <strong>file</strong> on <strong>the</strong> disk.<br />

3. Press <strong>the</strong> [ENTER/YES] key.<br />
A new "Normal <strong>mode</strong>" <strong>file</strong> is created.<br />
Tips:<br />
When a “Normal <strong>mode</strong>” <strong>audio</strong> <strong>file</strong> is created on a disk formatted <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> Tape <strong>mode</strong> and selected as <strong>the</strong> current<br />
<strong>file</strong>, you can make record<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> “NEW FILE” or “<strong>INSERT</strong> <strong>mode</strong>”.<br />
• To select a desired <strong>audio</strong> <strong>file</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> disk formatted <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> Tape <strong>mode</strong><br />
Follow <strong>the</strong> same procedure as describe <strong>in</strong> "Select<strong>in</strong>g a desired <strong>file</strong> on a disk" on page 4-9.<br />
<br />
After load<strong>in</strong>g a disk formatted <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> Tape <strong>mode</strong>, an <strong>audio</strong> <strong>file</strong> with <strong>the</strong> same type as [AUDIO FILE] switch<br />
sett<strong>in</strong>g (BWF or SDII) when <strong>the</strong> disk is loaded is selected.<br />
For example, if you load a disk which has a "Tape <strong>mode</strong>" BWF <strong>file</strong> and a "Normal <strong>mode</strong>" SDII <strong>file</strong> when <strong>the</strong><br />
[AUDIO FILE] switch is set to "SDII", <strong>the</strong> latter is selected.<br />
