Timecode record<strong>in</strong>g<br />
The unit can be referenced to SMPTE/EBU timecode. SMPTE timecode is applied to countries<br />
adopt<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> NTSC television system, while EBU timecode is applied to countries adopt<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong><br />
PAL/SECAM system.<br />
Select<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> record<strong>in</strong>g <strong>mode</strong><br />
Two methods are available for record<strong>in</strong>g timecode.<br />
• Record<strong>in</strong>g timecode toge<strong>the</strong>r with <strong>audio</strong> simultaneously<br />
When record<strong>in</strong>g <strong>audio</strong> and timecode while creat<strong>in</strong>g a new <strong>file</strong>:<br />
Use <strong>the</strong> [NEW FILE] <strong>mode</strong>.<br />
When record<strong>in</strong>g <strong>audio</strong> and timecode to an exist<strong>in</strong>g <strong>file</strong>:<br />
Use <strong>the</strong> [<strong>INSERT</strong>] <strong>mode</strong>.<br />
Select<strong>in</strong>g source timecode<br />
Two timecode sources to be recorded are available.<br />
• Timecode generated by <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>ternal timecode generator.<br />
• External timecode received from <strong>the</strong> TIME CODE INPUT connector.<br />
<br />
Timecode is recorded regardless of <strong>the</strong> track <strong>mode</strong> of <strong>audio</strong> <strong>file</strong>.<br />
Record<strong>in</strong>g timecode does not consume <strong>the</strong> record<strong>in</strong>g space of a disk.<br />
