• Location to a MEMORY po<strong>in</strong>t<br />
By specify<strong>in</strong>g a desired MEMORY po<strong>in</strong>t memory (among 04 through 99), you can locate to <strong>the</strong><br />
po<strong>in</strong>t.<br />
1. When <strong>the</strong> recorder is stopped, press <strong>the</strong> [MEMORY] key.<br />
The display shows a MEMORY po<strong>in</strong>t time with <strong>the</strong> flash<strong>in</strong>g po<strong>in</strong>t number.<br />

2. Use <strong>the</strong> jog dial to select a desired MEMORY po<strong>in</strong>t number (between "04" and "99") and press <strong>the</strong><br />
[LOCATE] key.<br />
The recorder locates to <strong>the</strong> MEMORY po<strong>in</strong>t and <strong>the</strong> display returns to <strong>the</strong> Normal screen.<br />
If you select a MEMORY po<strong>in</strong>t which does not hold time data, "--H--M--S--F--SF" is shown on <strong>the</strong> display.<br />
Tips:<br />
You can edit <strong>the</strong> time shown on <strong>the</strong> display after carry<strong>in</strong>g out step 1 above. By press<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> [LOCATE]<br />
key after edit<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> time, you can locate to <strong>the</strong> edited time. See "Chapter 6: Stor<strong>in</strong>g time data" for details<br />
about how to edit time data.<br />
• Location to <strong>the</strong> next or previous CUE/MEMORY po<strong>in</strong>t us<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> skip <strong>mode</strong><br />
(Skip locate function)<br />
By sett<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> "Skip Mode?" menu <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> Setup <strong>mode</strong> appropriately, you can locate to a CUE or<br />
MEMORY po<strong>in</strong>t quickly.<br />
1. Set <strong>the</strong> "Skip Mode?" menu <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> Setup <strong>mode</strong> to "CUE" or "MEM".<br />
The "Skip Mode?" menu is <strong>in</strong>itially set to "FILE". See "Chapter 11: Setup <strong>mode</strong>" for details.<br />
2. Press [SKIP/CURSOR] > key.<br />
Each time you press <strong>the</strong> key, <strong>the</strong> display shows someth<strong>in</strong>g like <strong>the</strong> examples below and <strong>the</strong> recorder locates<br />
<strong>the</strong> next or previous locate po<strong>in</strong>t (CUE or MEMORY po<strong>in</strong>t depend<strong>in</strong>g on <strong>the</strong> selection <strong>in</strong> step 1).<br />
• If <strong>the</strong> skip <strong>mode</strong> is set to "MEM":<br />

You can locate (<strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> skip locate function) to a desired time assigned to any of MEMORY po<strong>in</strong>ts 04<br />
through 99.<br />
MEMORY po<strong>in</strong>ts hold<strong>in</strong>g time data can be used <strong>in</strong> common by all <strong>audio</strong> <strong>file</strong>s, however, you cannot locate<br />
to a MEMORY po<strong>in</strong>t which holds a time greater <strong>the</strong>n <strong>the</strong> REC END time (except for "Tape <strong>mode</strong>" <strong>file</strong>s).<br />
If you are go<strong>in</strong>g to locate to a such po<strong>in</strong>t, <strong>the</strong> display shows "Out of Zone!" and <strong>the</strong> operation is ignored.<br />
In <strong>the</strong> follow<strong>in</strong>g example, if <strong>file</strong> 02 is currently selected, you cannot locate to MEMORY 07 or 08.<br />
In o<strong>the</strong>r words, you can locate to MEMORY po<strong>in</strong>ts 04 through 06 and 09 through 11. If <strong>file</strong> 02 is currently<br />
selected, you can locate all MEMORY po<strong>in</strong>ts 04 through 11).<br />
