Finnish-Norwegian Transboundary Water Commission<br />

The Commission acts as a body for cooperation and communication between the two states. Its aim is to<br />

preserve the transboundary watercourses and their unique natural conditions. It also safeguards the environmental<br />

interests of both states and the residents of the border region. The Commission has an advisory role.<br />
