GEF project: Lake Ohrid Conservation Project (LOCP) The primary objective of the Project is to develop the basis for the joint management and protection of Lake Ohrid by the Albanian and Macedonian Governments and people of two countries. One of the objectives is the development of water data bases using GIS. The information is to be used to analyze and assess the situation of the Lielupe River Basin Water Quality Management. The information exchange capacities between countries and participants are to be installed and the modern information technology is to be implemented.
