i. Act on the needs of all constituents.<br />
j. Have office hours appropriated by the board.<br />
k. Is required to attend the National Association for Campus Activities in<br />
the fall unless she provides academic documentation.<br />
l. Must return to campus one week early for Campus Events Organization<br />
training in the fall and complete one day of training in the spring.<br />
Article V: Powers of the Organization<br />
A. Administer the CEO Constitution<br />
B. Consider the proposals, appeals against the decisions of the officers, or<br />
proposed amendments to the Constitution by members of the CEO<br />
C. Distribution of CEO Grant monies<br />
a. A portion of the CEO budget, to be determined each semester by all<br />
members of the Board<br />
b. Events will be approved, denied, or returned to proposer pending<br />
further information according to the majority vote of the CEO Board<br />
c. Events must be open to the entire campus free of charge<br />
d. Alcohol may only be served through <strong>Sweet</strong> <strong>Briar</strong> <strong>College</strong> catering with<br />
a registered bar tender.<br />
e. Funding will be provided for approved events only.<br />
f. CEO funding cannot be used for fundraising purposes, and may only be<br />
used to profit a charitable organization.<br />
D. Plan and Promote Events<br />
E. The members of this club will adhere to the college’s policy on hazing.<br />
F. The club members must vote to approve all purchases of $200 or more<br />
made with club funds.<br />
Article VI: Meetings of the Organization<br />
A. The Officers and Board members shall meet as a group weekly.<br />
B. General Member meetings are open to all students and should be held once<br />
per month.<br />
Article VII: Election and Application Process<br />
A. Officers<br />
a. The President shall be elected in SGA Group 2 elections. The president<br />
must be a rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.<br />
b. The Vice President shall be elected in SGA Group 2 elections. The<br />
Vice president must be as rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.<br />
i. In the event that a Vice President is not elected through SGA<br />
elections or SGA emergency elections the position will be filled by<br />
another member of CEO, or appointed by the Director of <strong>Student</strong><br />
Involvement.<br />
c. The Secretary shall be elected in the fall elections. The Secretary must<br />
be a first year student.<br />
B. Board Members<br />
a. The Treasurer shall be appointed by the CEO President from<br />
application and approved by a majority vote from the Officers. The<br />
Treasurer must be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior.<br />
