sanctions not specifically stated in this <strong>College</strong> policy and may be<br />
tailored specifically to address or respond to particular situations<br />
which arise.<br />
C. Class 2 Violations<br />
Violations which threaten an individual’s physical, mental, or emotional<br />
well-being and are in direct conflict with community standards, or<br />
significantly interfere with the academic mission of the <strong>College</strong>; Class 2<br />
Violations include but are not limited to:<br />
1. Causing another person embarrassment or shame; causing another<br />
person to be the object of malicious amusement of ridicule,<br />
including verbal intimidation and threats; causing another person<br />
psychological harm or substantial emotional strain; or requiring or<br />
compelling exposure to uncomfortable elements.<br />
2. Any forms of physical activity that are used to harass or are not part<br />
of an organized athletic or academic context and not specifically<br />
directed toward constructive work.<br />
3. Blindfolding/hooding in public or private outside of an<br />
organization/approved athletic or academic context; binding or<br />
restricting any person’s arms or legs in any fashion that would<br />
prohibit them from moving on their own; confining someone to an<br />
unsafe compartment (i.e. car trunk).<br />
4. Spraying, painting, pelting, or anointing a person with any substance<br />
outside of an organized athletic or academic context.<br />
5. Repeated violations of Class 1 violations, or Class 1 violations,<br />
which occur off campus. Sanctions for Class 2 violations include but<br />
are not limited to:<br />
a. Compensatory service, in the range of 20-30 hours.<br />
b. Suspension or expulsion of an individual or group of individuals<br />
from the CO; suspension or removal of the CO from the<br />
<strong>College</strong>’s approved list.<br />
c. Limits placed on CO activities.<br />
d. Revocation of CO funds.<br />
e. Disciplinary action by the <strong>College</strong>, which may include<br />
disciplinary probation or suspension of an individual or<br />
individuals from the <strong>College</strong>.<br />
1. Class 3 Violations<br />
Violations which threaten physical, mental or emotional harm and/or are in<br />
violation of federal, state and local law; Class 3 violations include but are<br />
not limited to:<br />
a. Forcing or causing another person to violate local, state, or federal laws,<br />
particularly regarding the use of alcohol and/or drugs.<br />
b. Forced or coerced violations of the <strong>College</strong>’s Honor Code Standards of<br />
Academic and Non-Academic Conduct. [Such violations include<br />
