SECTION 8<br />

SPECIAL <strong>REGULATIONS</strong><br />

8.17.3.5 Any use that is noxious or offensive because of odors, dust, noise, fumes or<br />

vibrations.<br />

8.17.4 Building height shall not exceed eighteen (18) feet.<br />

8.17.5 Fencing and screening shall be provided as follows:<br />

8.17.5.1 A barrier must be provided around the perimeter of the development.<br />

8.17.5.2 If the barrier is to be provided by a fence, said fence shall be a minimum of six<br />

(6) feet in height and shall be constructed of opaque materials that will prevent<br />

the passage of light and debris. Examples include brick, stone, architectural<br />

tile, masonry units, wood or similar materials, but expressly prohibiting woven<br />

wire.<br />

8.17.6 Buildings shall be so situated and/or screened that overhead access doors are<br />

not visible from off the site.<br />

8.17.7 The following off-street parking and delivery width requirements are in addition<br />

to those outlined in Sec. 7:<br />

8.17.7.1 Parking shall be provided by, parking/driving lanes, adjacent to the buildings.<br />

These lanes shall be at least twenty-six (26) feet wide when cubicles open on<br />

to one side of the lane only and at least thirty (30) feet wide when cubicles<br />

open onto both sides of the lane. Required parking spaces may not be rented<br />

as, or used for, vehicular storage.<br />

8.17.7.2 One parking space for every fifty (50) storage cubicles or fraction thereof shall<br />

be located adjacent to the project office. A minimum of two (2) such spaces<br />

shall be provided<br />

8.18 SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARD AREAS<br />

8.18.1 STATUTORY AUTHORIZATION<br />

The Legislature of the State of Connecticut has in Title 7, Chapter 98, Section<br />

7-148(c)(7)(A) and in Title 8, Chapter 124, Section 8-2 of the General Statutes<br />

delegated the responsibility to local governmental units to adopt regulations<br />

designed to promote the public health, safety, and general welfare of its<br />

citizenry. Therefore, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the Town of<br />

Granby, Connecticut, does ordain as follows:<br />
