7 FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR COASTAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND
FACILITIES
In order to present the opportunities available for the City of Busselton to fund coastal
infrastructure and facilities projects a list of grant opportunities is presented below.
7.1 Lottery West Grants

Contribution toward activities centred around community amenity, wellbeing and the
environment.
‘Apply anytime’ programs (no closing date):-
Community Spaces grant –contribution towards items or activities such as picnic areas,
playgrounds, paths, steps, decking.ie. community amenity items. Infrastructure such as
toilets, carparks, access roads would be seen as local govt. responsibility.
Conservation of natural heritage grant cover items such as bush revegetation and associated
fencing.
Rolling grants with closing dates
Trails grant covers walking trails (eg. Cape to Cape trail)
For applications of more than $15,000

CLOSING DATE: March 2013 (date to be advised)
Interpretation of cultural heritage grant for signage and displays

7.2 State NRM Program

2012 Community Grants
The Western Australian Government is making available $3 million to fund community
projects as part of the 2012 State NRM Program. Eligible groups can apply for grants of
between $10 000 and $50 000 to help protect and conserve natural assets in Western
Australia. (eg. Erosion control, revegetation, rehabilitation, dune restoration)
