Dr. SIMONA ANTOFI is an associate professor at the Department of Literature,
Linguistics and Journalism, Faculty of Letters, “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galaţi. She is a
coordinator of research projects and an author of papers exploring such topics as “Cultural
Identity and Multiculturalism. A Romanian Identity Profile” (in Cultural Limits and Literature,
Galaţi, 2006) or “Les modèles culturels identitaires roumains, des solutions d‘intégration
européenne et d’autolégitimité” (in CEDIMES, Târgovişte, 2006) to name only two of them.

Dr. FILIP CRISTIAN BACALU is a young lecturer at Spiru Haret University of
Bucharest, particulalry interested in studying and performing research in the field of

Dr. ANCA CEHAN is an associate professor of linguistics and applied linguistics at
the Faculty of Letters, the English Department, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iaşi.
She has carried out research and published studies in the fields of semantics, ELT

ANA-ELENA COSTANDACHE is a young academic at the French Department,
Faculty of Letters, “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galaţi. She is now preparing her doctoral

Dr. GABRIELA IULIANA COLIPCĂ is an associate professor at the Department of
English, Faculty of Letters, “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galaţi. She prepared and
defended her doctoral thesis at the University of Leiden, the Netherlands. She currently
teaches Renaissance and eighteenth-century English literature, narratology and film
adaptations. Her research interests are: Renaissance and 18 th-century literature, culture and
civilisation; comparative literature; literary theory and criticism (psychoanalysis,
narratology, feminism); film theory; imagology; cultural analysis; trauma and affect theories;

Dr. NICOLETA IFRIM is a young academic at the Department of Literature,
Linguistics and Journalism, the Faculty of Letters, “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galaţi. She
defended her doctoral thesis in Romanian literary studies and she now continues her

Dr. GABRIEL ISTODE is a young academic at the Department of Applied Modern
Languages, the Faculty of Letters, “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galaţi. He defended his
doctoral thesis in contrastive studies and he now continues several project research in his

Dr. DOINITA MILEA is a professor of the Department of Literature, Linguistics and
Journalism, Faculty of Letters, “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galaţi. She teaches
comparative literature and Romanian literature, and her interests focus on remarkable
contributions to devising and managing international projects as well as grants funded by
