The ORNL NSTG operations continue to run without difficulty at the SNS location. From this
period forward, the network move from the ORNL main campus should be considered
successfully completed.
SDSC network engineers worked to facilitate an Infiniband to Ethernet bridging service to enable
TeraGrid users to have access to the new Trestles resource.
8.4 INCA
The SDSC Inca team continued to support and maintain the Inca deployment on TeraGrid and
helped system administrators to debug failures on their machines. In response to IIS changes and
requests from the GIG-pack and QA groups, existing Inca test suites were modified. Four
existing TeraGrid reporters were also modified and one new reporter was created and deployed.
At the time of this report 2,976 pieces of test data are being collected across TeraGrid platforms.
NCSA’s Ember was added to the Inca TeraGrid deployment during this time. NCSA’s Cobalt
was removed from Inca testing and TACC's Lonestar was removed from testing until the machine
returns in 2011.
The SDSC Inca team also updated TeraGrid’s Inca deployment to the working 2.6 release. The
two most relevant features of this release are data mirroring capabilities so that monitoring data
and notifications will still available if SDSC goes down (not yet configured) and historical
graphing abilities for performance data. The new graphing capabilities will allow the Information
Services team to view the response times of their Inca monitored server.
8.5 Grid Services Usage
The Globus usage listener for GT5 (GRAM5) continues to gather Grid Service usage for the
quarter. The following graphs detail this usage.
