<strong>Katoomba</strong> Street Frontage: Telstra Development with <strong>Council</strong> Toilets Relocated to Front<br />
<strong>Katoomba</strong> Street<br />
A two-storey development is designed for the roughly 10 metre bitumen set-back in front of<br />
Telstra. The building retains the image of its historic neighbours along <strong>Katoomba</strong> Street, as<br />
does the smaller toilet building. (Actually, the <strong>Council</strong> could also joint venture with Telstra and<br />
build a larger two-storey building on the <strong>Council</strong> property, basically extending the Telstra<br />
development, while retaining the public toilets at street level (not shown in sketch)). This<br />
building could attach to the southern part of the blank-walled Telstra front, but needs to leave<br />
room for access to the existing doors and windows further along the front to the north, as<br />
shown in the plan below.<br />
