PRIVACY ACT OF 1974<br />
Forms and documents used under the <strong>Local</strong> <strong>Employment</strong> <strong>Policy</strong> are subject to the provisions of the<br />
Privacy Act. Forms and documents are available for review as required by appropriate management<br />
officials having a need to know.<br />
US Social Security numbers are personal information subject to the general protections of the Privacy<br />
Act. The point of contact for questions regarding the privacy act is A/RPS/IPS.<br />
Information will be used as a basic for various personnel actions such as Reduction in Force, pay<br />
determinations, and removal of employees. The authority to collect this information is in Sections 3321,<br />
4305, 4315, and 5405 of Title 5, United States Code.<br />
This information will not be disclosed outside of the Department of State or other agency under Chief of<br />
Mission authority, except as required or permitted by law or the Office of Personnel Management rules,<br />
regulations, and procedures.<br />
