remove the bearing cage (108) out of the axle housing.<br />

Clean the connecting surfaces of the axle housing to<br />

the bearing cage.<br />

By means of a simple pry remove the sealing ring (4)<br />

and the distance ring (99).<br />

If replacement of the deep-groove ball bearing (98) is<br />

required, pull off it with general puller.<br />

As described in the “GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS”<br />

apply oil-proof (LOCTITE 515) surface sealant to the<br />

bearing cage face inside the bolt bores.<br />

When reinstalling the bearing cage make sure to<br />

check if the oil baffle plate flange faces downward.<br />

Secure the bearing cage by the hex. bolts applied<br />

with thread locker and tighten the bolts to 59 - 78 Nm<br />

torque.<br />
