Over time, AIG intends to reduce its reliance on certain manual controls that have been established. AIG is currently developing new systems and processes which will allow it to rely on front-end preventive and detective controls which will be more sustainable over the long term. To accomplish its goals, AIG recognizes its need to continue strengthening and investing in financial personnel, systems and processes. AIG is committed to continuing the significant investments over the next several years necessary to make these improvements.
