Copperweed.-.Alkali.Sacaton.Shrubl<strong>and</strong><br />
Location: Copperweed - Alkali Sacaton Shrubl<strong>and</strong> was only mapped in two locations, both near the one<br />
classification relevé measured of this map class. This community type was not easily identified on aerial<br />
photography <strong>and</strong> was delineated based on field data from the southwestern slopes of Chinde Mesa. This<br />
map class occurred on the bank of a wash <strong>and</strong> likely occurs in small patches in other areas.<br />
Photosignature: The photosignature consisted of a dense patch of vegetation along the banks <strong>and</strong> in the<br />
middle of a wash. The vegetation appeared to be a bright green, homogenous color. This signature is typical<br />
of washes, <strong>and</strong> since it was not distinct enough to identify in other areas, we restricted our delineations<br />
of this map class to the one area with field data <strong>and</strong> extrapolated from there.<br />
