In all service matters the decision <strong>of</strong> the Director in case <strong>of</strong> Scientist B <strong>and</strong> Chairman,<br />
Governing Body in case <strong>of</strong> Scientist C <strong>and</strong> above shall be final. Director at the time <strong>of</strong><br />
advertisement <strong>and</strong> selection to the posts would prescribe the specializations <strong>and</strong> job<br />
requirements.<br />
The Governing Body shall have powers to relax, amend <strong>and</strong> repeal any or all these <strong>rules</strong><br />
provided that such amendment, repeal shall not affect the previous operation <strong>of</strong> these<br />
<strong>rules</strong> or notifications or orders made or anything done or any action taken thereunder.<br />
In this regard any matters not specified herein above, the employees <strong>of</strong> GBPIHED will be<br />
governed by the relevant <strong>rules</strong>/ orders issued by the Government <strong>of</strong> India from time to<br />
time.<br />
The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt <strong>of</strong><br />
application.<br />
c. Disqualifications:<br />

Furnishing <strong>of</strong> false information, suppression <strong>of</strong> any factual information, canvassing in any<br />
form will render the applicant unfit for being called for interview/or appointment.<br />
No person:<br />
(a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living.<br />
(b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person<br />
shall be eligible for appointment to any <strong>of</strong> the aforesaid posts. Provided that the <strong>Institute</strong><br />
may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to<br />
such person <strong>and</strong> the other party to the marriage <strong>and</strong> there are other grounds for doing so,<br />
exempt any person from the operation <strong>of</strong> this regulation.<br />

No person shall be appointed by direct recruitment unless he/she is, after such medical<br />
examination as the Director <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Institute</strong> may prescribe, found to be free from any<br />
mental or physical defect which is likely to interfere with the discharge <strong>of</strong> his duties to<br />
which he/she is to be appointed.<br />
Reservation for Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes will be as per Central Government<br />
Rules, amended from time to time.<br />
