7. Click on "Next" to finish the reconfiguration procedure.
8. Double click the Icon "AAWinLab Analyst" to start the reconfigured
spectrometer operating software. After a while the AAWinLab’s initial
screen will be shown with it’s menu line and toolbar.
9. Select "File" - "New" to create a method to test the function and
precision of the X- and Y-drive of the AS-93plus.
10.Select an element (e.g. Cu) from the "Create New Method" window
and click "OK".
11.Type in the method description. Then select the tab "Calib." and click
on the sub-tab "Autosampler".

12.Select the "Tray Type" (rack group). and select "F" as this is the
standard rack configuration of the AS-93plus.
Note Figure 14 shows the 3 types of predefined tray types (=rack groups) using
Perkin Elmer racks. The character E,F and G of the tray type designation
identifies the rack group while the following numbers points out the number of the
maximal sample locations of the tray type. Refer to page 25 for details about predefined
"tray types" = rack groups.
If you are using sample racks from other suppliers you have to copy appropriate
"tray files" that are named according the 8.3 character file name convention into
the AA Winlab/Elan directory. "Ready-to-use" tray -files are provided with the AS-
93 utility disk or must be prepared as described on page 47.
