Checking the Event Relay
The Event relay is a potential-free relay contact that can be used to control an external
system.
Internal Cyclic tests
1. Connect an Ohm meter to the terminal "Event". See item 2 of Electrical
connectors and switches on page 15.
2. Click on the function key "Event ON" of the level 4 commands.
The relay contact will close the contact and the ohm-meter should
show zero ohm. (You might also hear a "click" if the environmental
noise level is not too high.)
3. Click on the function key "Event OFF".
The relay contact will be open and the ohm meter should show "high
resistance".
4 internal test programs have been build-in allowing to test the AS-93plus without a need
to attach a PC. These "stand-alone tests" can be activated by setting the dipswitch 7 to
ON using the dipswitch configurations as follows:
1. Cyclic sample location test of sample tray group F.
Continuous accessing of all sample location.
2. Cyclic X-drive test
The tower will move to the left and right end position.
3. Cyclic Y-drive test.
The sampling probe holder will move to the front and rear end position.
