Further sample racks In addition to the above sample racks, you can also use racks offered by Gilson. To install the Gilson racks on the autosampler you require an adapter plate (option). Four Gilson racks can be installed on the autosampler. Please note that the Gilson racks cannot be obtained from PerkinElmer. Further sample racks can be offered for special applications. Please refer to the current price lists for information. Tray definition files A tray definition file provides the system with information about the group of sample racks installed on the autosampler. The system requires this information to move the sampling probe to the correct location for each container in the rack. You select the required sample tray group in the spectrometer’s operating software when you set up the autosampler. The spectrometer operating software already contains tray definition files for the PerkinElmer sample tray groups E, F, and G. Tray definition files are also included with the autosampler for each of the sample tray groups that can be selected. Further information on tray definition files is provided on page 47. Quick Reference A slot is provided underneath the autosampler into which you can insert the Quick Reference. We recommend that you keep the Quick Reference with the autosampler at all times since it contains maintenance information and a list of replacement parts. 8 of 68 AS9N010B.STB
